I attended Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, where I studied mathematics education and minored in chemistry. My family moved to New England in January 2010 to take a pastoral position at Bethany Assembly of God. I began teaching at Community Christian School in the fall of 2010. In my years at CCS, I have taught high school math and sciences, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Consumer Finance, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics.
Growing up in Moorhead, Minnesota, I attended public schools. I had many influential teachers and have wanted to be a teacher since I was young. I met my husband in high school and we married during college in 2005. We now have three kids and enjoy hiking together. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and crafting.
Since every student has his or her own interests, strengths, and abilities, meeting individual needs is a critically important and challenging task. As a teacher, I desire to encourage students in their academic strengths and weaknesses, but I also hope to be a positive role model for them as they develop their character and values.
Zephaniah 3:17: The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
